Laura is considering majoring in music; she will continue to study violin and play in the University Orchestra.

BIO: Laura was intensively involved with the choral and orchestral dept for all four years of high school. She has been a member of the Central High School Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra as well as the Robed Choir and the "Grand Central Station" Show Choir. Laura was also a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society while at Central (Modern Music Masters). She graduated in the top 5% of her class. Laura was a member of the La Crosse Youth Symphony and, as a private student of Busya Lugovier, also a member of the Lugovier quartet and trio. Mrs. Mary Ann Bashaw, Laura's orchestra teacher, describes her as a "wonderful, creative young lady who has made music a priority in her life." Laura Streyle happens to be the sister of Johanna Streyle (oboist) who received the scholarship in 2004.
