BIO: Sarah Brailey graduated with distinction from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, where she studied under Masako Toribara and Robert Swensen and participated in several chamber ensembles, including Kairos, a student-run chamber choir. In May 2007, Sarah then earned her Master of Music in voice performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Music, where she studied with Professor Paul Rowe and holds the Paul Collins Distinguished Graduate Fellowship. During her time in Madison, she gave numerous performances as a soprano soloist with groups including the UW Masters Singers, the Isthmus Vocal Ensemble (a temporary annual gathering of Madison's finest singers), and the University Opera, with which she performed the role of Donna Elvira in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”. In Madison, she was also a cello instructor at “Music by Mickey” and, as of Spring 2007, she was also in the chorus of the Stoughton Opera Company. Sarah is also a pianist. A vocal solo of Sarah’s with the Isthmus Vocal Ensemble can be heard at: http://www.isthmusvocalensemble.org/audio.html (free download) |
